After her husband’s death, a Texas school bus driver takes over his long-haul trucking route to make ends meet only to discover that it’s part of a dangerous smuggling ring run by his former mistress.

At home, her three kids struggle with grief, coming of age, and being thrust into the care of their judgmental grandmother.

She must juggle strained family relationships with a financially strapped elder care operation and an indebted ecstasy distribution ring, while secretly caring for AIDS patients.
